Week 5 - INFM 322

I've just review the recording for this weeks class meeting and have a lot of work to do, which I plan to do over the holidays.  I still need to complete my prototype in Adobe XD and link it to my landing page.  I have added to my Adobe XD prototype and made changes to MyNextLvl website based on comments and suggestions from Dr. Liu.  I have added padding in select areas and created forms, charts, check box selections, and submit buttons through dream weaver.  I've also started to appreciate the advantage that dream weaver gives in comparison to direct coding of HTML using text pad.

Week 4 - INFM 322

Dr. Liu was able to clarify what was needed to make my Adobe XD prototype interactive and demonstrated in class today.  I learned that I need to go to the prototype header in Adobe XD and click each button dragging it to the next section or art board I would like for it to link to.  I've started on my website, but need to make changes to the correct "My Next Lvl" title.

I've started to make some of these changes based on the client interview, notes, and information given to us.  I need to link the "My Next Lvl" website, my prototype, and my user/task analysis to my web page after all three are completed.  These are the three areas I will focus on since my website design is ahead of schedule.

Week 3 - INFM 322

This week we discussed structure and page design concepts.  A lot of the information was relayed from our client and I'm happy to report that it was the same client interviewed for INFM 372 I took in Fall 1!  My landing page is established so I'll continue to work on the prototype I have in place.  Adobe XD is easier to navigate when using a touch screen.  You can zoom in and out on select art boards and put them together easily.

Wireframe resources and the title of the website were given to us in class.  I'm working on making my prototype interactive so it transitions properly depending on the buttons or options selected.  I'm also working on linking by prototype to my landing page.

Week 2 - INFM 322

This was the week where I learned different tricks to make my website more efficient.  I noticed that my website always loaded slowly and my pictures appeared stretched and distorted.  Dr. Liu showed us how to resize photos in Adobe photoshop properly without distorting them.  I also learned how to decrease the pixles in each photo so they would still retain their quality, but also load more quickly on my web page.

I made these adjustments to my landing page making it more efficient.  Task/analysis for website goals and accomplishments for select users was implemented.  I feel very much in control how my project is progressing and have pushed ahead.  My landing page with family page is in place.  I also have a Adobe XD prototype that I've begun to work on off of a template.

Adobe Dreamweaver has been an excellent tool to use.  I've been hard coding HTML prior to this and using dreamweaver has been an added benefit.

Week 6 - INFM 322

I'm embarrassed to say that My Next Lvl website literally fell apart during our evaluation on Thursday in class.  I've put in a lot ...
